6th May at Llanymynech Wharf
G.W. Buck Inauguration .
Saturday the 6th of May 2006 between  1 and 5 pm  saw the Llanymynech Launch  of the George Watson Buck on the newly-restored stretch of the canal (albeit a short stretch!).
The dry weather produced a steady stream of visitors to the event.
Trips along the canal starting from Llanymynech Wharf to the new winding point and then back to Llanymynech, passing under the new road bridge before winding and returning to the wharf were all well subscribed keeping very busy all afternoon.
As well as trips on the boat (England to Wales and back!)there were  stalls, displays and guided walks around the Llanymynech Heritage Area.
Below are a few photo’s.
