MONTGOMERY CANAL TRIATHLON 2014
As you will see from the results below, over 200 attempted the whole course for the first time.
Jean Ashley reduced the overall time to 5 hours, but Moses Tutesigensi ran the towpath in 4 hours 48 minutes and Howard Moore cycled it in 4 hours 15 minutes..
There were many other achievements, like Scarlett Carter, aged 2 years, completing the course with a bit of help from her parents.
David Greenwood, a blind veteran, completed the cycling with a guide on a tandem, and paddled to the border in a 2 seater kayak.
Richard Parry, the CEO of Canal and River Trust completed the course in just over 7 hours, including finding time to call in and say Hello at Canal Central, and then recovered to present the medallions to the finishers.
We have received many e mails and letters since the event saying how much they had enjoyed the day, and thanking all the marshalls for their cheerful help.
