At the Village Hall, Llanymynech

After the meeting, Stephen Lees, Restoration Project Officer,

Montgomery Canal returned once more to give an illustrated

Presentation on: “Restoration Progress”.

LLANYMYNECH DISCOVERY DAY 2009.

In spite of the inclement weather, a steady stream of visitors came

to see the Heritage Area with its Lime Kilns, Canal Visitor Centre

and other attractions  with trips along the restored section of canal

available on the N.B. George Watson Buck. To add to the interest

of the past era, a working Steam Roller owned by R & J Mills

And the  Steam Launch Vulcan were on display.
