WRG Summer Camp (2nd week).

The Waterways Recovery Group are to continue work

started on the restoration of the historic Crickheath Wharf.

 5th July. Monday.

Guided Walk along the Montgomery Canal at Welshpool.

Starting at 7.0 pm from the Powysland Museum.

The walk will be led by Mr Chris Martin of the

 Clwyd Powys Archaealogical  Trust, Welshpool.

8th July Thursday.

Freda Davies, Friends of the Montgomery Canal,

will lead a walk out to the very picturesque Belan Locks,

returning via Coed y Dinas Nature Reserve.

The walk will start at 10am from Powysland Museum.

All welcome, no charge.

11 July Sunday.

The Duchess Countess Trust at Llanymynech Wharf

are holding a MAD HATTERS TEA PARTY from 11am-4pm,

boat trips, games, lucky dip, BBQ,

 half price boat trips for children wearing a MAD HAT.

( The Visitor Centre at the Wharf provides refreshments

as well as an exhibition area.)
