Young people (under 16s) are invited to join in the Junior Fishing Competition on Sunday 2nd September.  It is being run by Weston Pools along the new section of the Montgomery Canal.

The drop of point (or parking if accompanied) is courtesy of Peter Frank, at Morton Farm (SY10 8BE) which is a quarter mile off the B4396 Llynclys to Knockin road, turning at the new canal bridge at Redwith.

The draw will take place at 8.15am so no lying in bed too long!  Please bring your own tackle. The competition ends at 12.00 noon and prize giving will be at Canal Central.

Numbers are being restricted and only the first lucky 30 young people will get the opportunity to take part.

Back by popular demand, this quiz has used the tie-breaker questions from last time.  All the answers contain MONT for example the answer to ‘the father of the RAF’ is Hugh Montague Trenchard.

And the prize?  Apart from the prestige of being crowned Brain of Monty you could win £25.
